I’m a huge fan of the old-style DiorKiss tube glosses and was sad to see them discontinued. I find the new glosses intriguing, though, and some of the shades really catch my eye when I pass by a Dior counter. So I was especially thrilled to receive DiorKiss Gloss in Mango Soda as a gift from a friend (waves to Donna!).
The packaging is still a squeeze tube but it’s more sleek and holds less gloss than the old packaging (boo!) yet it has the convenient slant tip (yay!) for easy application. One interesting thing is how difficult it is at first to pull the cap off, but over time it seems to come off easier. Maybe it’s loosened up or maybe I’m used to needing to use more force, I don’t know. Either way, it’s not an issue for me now.
Mango Soda is peach-coral with gold sparkles, applies semi-sheerly with a fruity scent and taste – I’m assuming mango. It gives my lips a beautiful shine and has a creamy texture that allows it to last yet it’s not overly sticky. Mango Soda gives my natural lip color a little boost on it’s own or adds glamour when applied over lipstick. I’ve carried this tube for weeks at a time in my purse and never had it spill or leak. In short, this tube of gloss has become a go-to staple!
My one real complaint is that sometimes the sparkle in the gloss is a bit much for day, so I tend to limit it for evenings. It’s a truly gorgeous shade and pairs perfectly with my beloved Dior Coral Riviera blush, plus I feel like I’m still getting a nice amount of product for the price. It gets an A- only because of the sparkles I wish were more fine but, other than that, I adore this gloss.
Dior DiorKiss Luscious Lip-Plumping Gloss can be purchased at many department stores and at Sephora.com for $21 (8 ml/.27 oz.).
